America SCORES LA has closed yet another extraordinary chapter in their summer program!
None of this could have been possible without our amazing students, volunteers and alumni!
Just a little recap on what happened throughout the summer; Elementary summer camp was a success, Middle school and Alumni camp flowed ever so smoothly, and our coaching team did an impecable job at both CoachArt events.
Huge, HUGE, thanks to Manchester United and Stuart Holden for coming out and playing with our Alumni and Middle school students.
Volunteers, students, parents, Alumni, coaching team, Manchester United, Stuart Holden, CoachArt, WSA...
THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
Until next summer...

Middle School Camp

Monday, July 21, 2014

This past week we held our Middle School Alumni Summer Camp.
It was a great turn out! We got to see a lot of familiar faces and reunited some old friends as well. The students had a blast! Although it was only a week, it was a week well spent! Soccer practice for two days then LA Galaxy game Wednesday night then the following day we had US Men's National Team and Bolton Wanderer's very on Stuart Holden come out and train with us! Injuries are a very tough setback but Stuart did not let that stop him from having a great time with our students.
We want to give a huge shout out to all of our students who were a part of the camp. We wouldn't be able to do anything without any of you!!
Thank you for being a part of LA SCORES!!!

COACHART ALL STAR GAMES

COACHART ALL STAR GAMES!!!

America SCORES LA was invited to help out in CoachArt's All Star Game. Karen Pimentel, Vanessa Hernandez, Michelle Luis, and myself, Nahoul Gonzalez, attended the event in Huntington Park.
It was such great experience to help out such a great organization as CoachArt. We played Crazy Kickball with Coach DA and had a soccer scrimmage on the side as we prepared them for their All Star Soccer game. A handful of students who wanted to participate in a different way made crepes to which only one team would be named top chefs ( I have no idea how the judges could make a choice, THEY WERE ALL DELICIOUS!!!!)
We would like to give a SPECIAL THANKS to Kia, Coach DA, Hector, and everybody else who took America SCORES LA into consideration and welcomed us with open arms!!
Can't wait for Camp CoachArt in a couple of weeks!
